- DR. JOE EDHLUND grew up with Golden Retrievers (" Goldens." ) This breed is known for intelligence and for being the most gentle of all dogs. They have natural empathy and majestic beauty!
- GENTLE VETS ADVANCED CARE IN HAWAII owned and operated by Joe and Mariel operated performing hip replacement surgery and treating hip dysplasia in Goldens with poor breeding. They saw the devastating effects of pain from bad hips and high costs to families. RoseGold dogs are carefully selected to avoid this and numerous other issues caused by poor genetics.
- CAUTION!!! Cheaper pricing for this breed is not always cheaper in medical care and the emotional cost of a problem pet. OVER BREEDING, POOR BREEDING. POOR MATERNAL CARE, and LACK OF, OR POOR SOCIALIZATION degrades the integrity of this naturally wonderful breed. - RED GOLDEN RETRIEVERS have a slightly thinner reddish hair coat (compared to light blonde Goldens) that's less shedding, quick wash and dry, and easier brushing. The reddish coat varies from deep red to light red. Some are curly, others more flat coated. Bred to be field dogs, they tend to be a bit taller which keeps their coat above wet grass and stickers.

- In 2022 ROSIE was bred to beautiful and gentle WHISKEY of Lukhan.Rosie's daughters, PELE and FORREST, the two picks of the litter, were kept for future breeding. In the spring of 2024. Pele and Forrest cycled at the same time. So, Joe and Mariel decided to forego veterinary practice work and devote the next half year to breeding and raising the best puppies they could imagine. Joe and Mariel found TWO WONDERFUL STUDS.
- THERE'S NOTHING LIKE TWO VETERINARIANS to oversee the birth and care of large litters. On June 26, 2024. Forrest went into labor first and quickly delivered 11 puppies. Pele was reluctant to go into labor until we gave her some whipped cream. She started 12 hours later delivering 15 puppies over the next several hours.
- A RENOWNED VETERINARY BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST, Rolan Tripp, DVM, CABC, and his wife Susan Tripp, MS, CDBC, (friends of Joe and Mariel) with decades of experience in early puppy and kitten socialization and training, are also helping to prepare these pups to become extraordinary. - SIR WALTER, a certified service dog, with his stable attitude, was mated to FORREST with her rock solid stable personality, to end up with highly trainable, cooperative, calm puppies with excellent potential for service dog opportunities. - SIR DUNCAN with his impressive background was bred to PELE. He brought beauty and brains to the litter along with high energy. Already loaded with awards, Pele’s and Rosie’s pups are a good match for people who want beauty, brains, and energy. Duncan, a red coated son of superstar Henry, is quite impressive. At only 8 months old, he earned a Jr. National championship, International championship, Honors championships and won 4x BIG (best in group), 4x BOB (best of breed) and finished with a BISJR (best in show Jr.) He also earned his CGC (obedience) title. Duncan is fully health tested and DNA clear for all diseases. He’s a super handsome boy like his dad and has a beautiful robust red show coat.THERE ARE NO CAGES FOR THESE DOGS AND PUPS (although the puppies are introduced to crates for free choice sleeping.) JASPER and the girls, Rosie, Forrest, and Pele, live indoors as part of their family. They outfitted their off-grid cabin in Montana as a giant dog house with 3 whelping pens in the living room and spend literally 24/7, taking shifts, with the moms, pups, and their Golden boy Jasper, providing care.

- PUPPY CONCIERGE TRAVEL: We arrange the travel for your pup and supplies: carrier, blanket, favorite toy, treats, chew, collar & leash, dishes, introductory food, and pee pads. Pups have been started potty training on pee pads and artificial grass (pee pads underneath.) Pups must be in the cabin with you or someone you choose.
- ALL PUPPIES ARE STARTED ON POTTY TRAINING, SOCIALIZATION to sounds, scents, play groups, interactive toys, new people of all ages, examinations, gentle handling and grooming.
